people who follow the church of Reginald believe (rightfully) that crabs are the peak of evolution and is a form humans should strive towards achieving and that “Reginald” is the one true crab god, who though often depicted as a Japanese spider crab is the embodiment of all crabs and their essence. In accordance to the religion he is an unseen crab and a watcher over everything alongside being the one and only true savior
The religion believes that one should follow Reginald in living a peaceful life rather than worshiping or honoring false idols (false religions), though followers of the belief must accept that all other religions are false they are called not to convince others of their beliefs because they are too blinded and brainwashed to accept the truth of the religion, despite that however the religion is very welcoming to people are open minded and interested in joining even if they carry the “us vs them” mentality of believing they will be shunned and ridiculed for their belief by others.
The exact origin and date of founding cannot be pinpointed exactly however the leader (choosing to stay semi-anonymous) founded the religion after a spiritual episode where Reginald presented himself to him and told him the truth about how the rest of the world worshiped false idols and that he is the one true savior and since then has continued to use him as a catalyst to speak through.
The ultimate end goal of the religion is simply to convince people who are open to the truth of their religion and to prove that the truth can prevail without violence hatred or bigotry, followers are called to spread the word of Reginald as peacefully and respectfully as possible as in the words of its founder “whatever we put out we get back and no community will ever grow if all that’s spread is hatred.”
The church of Reginald is an ever growing religion with many members joining daily.
